Canakkale Airport
The easiest way of getting to Çanakkale is no doubt by airplane. Fly to Istanbul first, and then take a domestic flight to Çanakkale.
When landing in Istanbul, you will have to buy a visa first. Visa can be bought straight from the airport; they cost 10 Euro and are valid for a period of 3 months. It is also possible to pay using other currencies (US dollars, British Pound Sterling, etc.)
We strongly suggest to contact Atlastjet (the only company that has regular flights between the airports of Istanbul and Canakkale) directly via their website. When considering to fly from Istanbul to Canakkale, please keep in mind that:
• the seat capacity is limited;
• planes only fly once per day (leaving Istanbul Ataturk airport at 22:00, and Canakkale airport at 07:00).
You can also find information about how to get from Canakkale Airport to Anzac Hotel below ;
There is taxi as well as bus service available in the airport to the city center. The distance between city center ( as well as Anzac Hotel) to airport is less than 3 km, therefore it would not cost you too much, but as I have mentioned bus service is also available to the city center. For the directions to Anzac Hotel, you need to ask for Iskele Meydani ( Ferry Jetty Square), then look for the historical clock tower (20 meters after ferry jetty). Anzac Hotel, is located adjacent to the historical clock tower.
